Here in Solotrance we keep trying to promote Trance music in Spain, and continue collaborating with the best dj's and producers all over the world, and today we bring you a interview to one of the best djs and producers in the world, a man that is all the same as a person as well as a dj or producer, a big man and a big producer, he don´t need presentations, his name means Trance, he is Lange and today we offer you the interview that Solotrance made to him.

Interview that Solotrance made to Lange:

1º This is a question we make all djs and producers, define for spanish people in a few words who is lange:

A Trance producer & DJ living in Oxford, UK who's completely obsessed with Music, and feels very lucky to have made a career from it!!!

2º The first song that we know you had released was in 1998, when it was your first song made and produced by yourself?

I started playing around with cheap 'home keyboards' many years before that, in the early 90's! But I think it was around 1994/5 that the music i was making started to sound OK!!

3º You produce under some alias (firewall, lange, lng), Which is the difference (in a production) between these alias?

Generally I would say that a Lange single is usually vocal and uplifting. Firewall releases are a bit darker and are instrumental only tracks and LNG is for more experimetal progressive trance.......

4º In the years you are producing you had made a house or techno (or other style) song? What do you think about other styles how house, techno or progressive house?

I have experimented with other styles and sometimes try to bring in a few elements from other genres into my trance.

5º What hardware and software use you for to produce?

My favourite Synth is still the Access Virus! I still use my JD800 now & then for the odd sound, but I've starting using some softsynths too. I have a mackie d8b digital mixer & use Cubase VST on a PC for sequencing(I will move to SX2 soon!) .

6º How time you need for produce a theme how kilimanjaro or intercity? What do you think (the sun, the beach...) for to compose this great songs?

Sometimes a track will be finished in 2 days, sometimes it will take alot longer - normally around 2 weeks. Occasionally i will write a track over a month or so - re-visiting it until it's finally finished!

7º What is your trance theme favorite?

I never name just one favourite track, it's too difficult to!! But I will say that Mike/Push has produced alot of favourites of mine!

8º In which countries you will play this summer (or in the next months), any date in Spain?

I hope to play in Spain soon. My agent is working closely with a spanish promoter, so it shouldn't be long before I can announce a date. Looking at my diary I have dates in Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Los Angeles, italy, canada and of course the UK! i should also be playing some dates in ibiza.

9º New projects or new releases in the future? (can you tell us something about?)

I have a new 'Lange' Single featuring Kirsty hawkshaw coming up. It's called 'Sincere For You' and will be released on my own label, Lange Recordings, in late July. I have also remixed The Thrillseekers - 'New Life' (Out in June) and the new Empyreal Sun single, 'From Dark To light'.
